Become a member of Creuynni Wellbeing CIC

Creuynni Wellbeing CIC is co-operatively run, helping to empower each member with self-determination and self-organisation with the power of mutual support from other members. With this, together we can expand wellbeing support in our communities – physically, psychologically, socially and ecologically.

We are based on a consensus decision making model of sociocracy – to help minimise the effects of power dynamics and politics and increase the chance of everyone’s voices being heard.

There are a range of membership currently possible.

These first four membership options are currently all free financially – time wise, they do take on responsibilities to try to attend four meetings a year, participate in giving input and decision-making in Creuynni Wellbeing CIC.

The fifth option is a supporter role, with no responsibilities and still the ability to engage in discussions and give ideas and input to how the CIC runs and what we provide.

All members are asked to be in alignment with the code of ethics and conduct that we share.

Service Provider Members

These are trusted individuals and organisations provide services that support the provision of wellbeing activities with Creuynni Wellbeing CIC in our communities.

Service User Members

There are for individuals and organisations that access wellbeing services facilitated by Creuynni Wellbeing CIC who would like to have an active role in shaping how the co-operative is run.

Extended Community Members

These are for individuals and organisations that are interested in supporting Creuynni Wellbeing CIC

Supporters

This is a more relaxed role. Where other memberships are more rigorous in the application to becoming a member, and have to be approved by the board with the intention to attend four meetings a year and participate in decision making, supporters can attend as little or as many meetings as they, and while they do not participate in decision making votes, can give input into and engage in discussions around these decisions.

Applications for Membership

Application is through contacting ourselves. You can e-mail us on creuynnwellbeing@gmail.com for more information on this. Every person who wishes to become a member has to support the aims Creuynni Wellbeing CIC, and fill in a form. By law, decision making memberships have to be over 16. You can find more details on the legalities around these types of memberships on our articles of association and a short training can also be provided. Membership is completely voluntary, and can be changed on request.

Directors

There are also opportunities to take on a stewardship role in the CIC as a director. As stewards, the directors, together with other members, guide the CIC and take on legal responsibilities for the CIC.
